Company’s chief Elmqvist: British market is competitive, but we have a track record of succeeding in every country we enter.
Only a couple of months have passed since Yggdrasil were granted their UK operating license by the country’s Gambling Commission in December 2015, but the Swedish provider of virtual gambling content and solutions is now all set to start their conquest of the British online casino gaming market, with the complete range of their products built on the proprietary iSENSE 2.0 platform fully available to UK gambler community.
So far, Yggdrasil, who won 2015 Software Rising Star and 2016 iGaming Software Supplier awards, have established cooperation with six UK-based gambling operators: Unibet, Vera&John, ComeOn, Mr. Green, Betsson, and LeoVegas, with several more expected to sign supply agreements with the Swedes.
As admitted by Yggdrasil’s CEO Fredrik Elmqvist, who calls UK “an extremely important market”, the company is indeed “thrilled to be live” in the country’s market. Elmqvist says Yggdrasil “[have] had a very encouraging start” for the reason that, although they actually were awarded their gambling licence in late 2015 only, the developer is, nevertheless, “already live with some operators.” The British market is described by the CEO as “the most competitive in Europe”, but, according to him, his company has “a track record of succeeding in every market [they] enter”, which makes Elmqvist confident Yddrasil’s “industry-leading platform and games will allow [them] to repeat the trick [in the UK]”.
Currently, the Swedish developer offers a great variety of games to their customers, with a selection of real blockbusters being in the range, like ‘Vikings go Wild’, ‘Nirvana’, and many other sought-after slots. Apart from their gaming content, Yggdrasil’s portfolio also includes their custom promo-platform called Boost meant to enhance the customers’ involvement.
