Since the 16th of September the residents of Japan are able to make BTC payments using the country’s first domestic online Bitcoin payment processor called Bitcheck.
The platform enables people to check-in to their electronic wallet system and make instant retail payments. Bitcheck is available to everyone.
The new processor makes lives of the Japanese Bitcoin users much easier, as electronic payments are highly popular in the country’s online stores, cafes, restaurants and numerous other retail locations. Bitcheck allows the Japanese to abandon bank cards and make these payments in bitcoins.
Every client of Bitcheck is charged a fee of 1% of the amount of each payment they make via the new Bitcoin payment processor. The company’s management is very optimistic about the future of their brainchild, and they have good reasons for it: Japan is one of the most Bitcoin-friendly countries in the world. Currently, the Japanese authorities are arguing on the necessity of introducing Bitcoin regulation.
