Another standoffish game from Netent games. Designed with a theme that clearly spells Miami Vice from the 80s, with character-like symbols ranging from a Cop wearing sunglasses, another cop with curled hairs, to an elegant lady wearing a floppy hat and a brick mobile phone in hand.
Like most of Netent games, Hotline came with free spin features, and expanding and sticking wilds. Also, the game is a five reel, 3-row slot, with 30 pay lines. What is more, the soundtrack is one that arouses nostalgic memories of music from the 80s, that is for those players who saw that decade.
Paying and Payout Details
The minimum bet is set at 15p and a maximum bet of 450 EUR. According to its paytable, players can win as much as 2000 EUR on a single bet from a single bet line. However, for maximum bet lines, the theoretical possibility of winnings is as much as 60,000 EUR. Also having a unique feature called the Hotline zones, the game has an RTP that starts at 96.13% for the first hotline, 96.70% for the second and 97.04% for the third hotline.
Graphic designs
This is what you might want to call the Grand Theft Auto of virtual slots. The slot has a rich graphical representation of its theme, which did well to bring the game to life. To add to the Miami Vice settings is a soundtrack from way back. Also, this game is compatible across mobile, tablet, and PC devices, and easy to understand even by newbies.
Symbols and their values
Like all Netent games, this game has characters and artifacts, which are unconventional to slot games, as its symbols. Ranging from high-value symbols with some paying as much as 200x the player’s stake for a Payline of 5 of such symbol. These high-value symbols comprise of a black cop on a blue suit, a Caucasian cop on an ash suit, having a pair of sunglasses on, an elegantly dressed lady, wearing a floppy hat, with a brick mobile phone, in hand, and a red sports car as its wild symbol. Also, the low-value symbols comprise of jewels ranging from a necklace, and two crowns. The scatter symbol is the image of a palm tree over a beautiful sunset with the word scatter written over the symbol.
More on Wilds
This symbols can substitute for all symbols on a reel except for scatter symbols and they expand once they land on a hotline, which also triggers a re-spin. Also, expanded wilds on a reel attract bigger wins.
More on scatters
When scatters land on reels 1, 3, and 5, a 7-time re-spin is triggered. When this happens, with more hotlines activated there are higher chances of landing expanded wilds and even the possibility of an all screen wild, which gives as much as 400x a player’s stake.
Hotline feature
The three rows on this games are called hotlines. For every spin, at least a hotline must be activated. This hotline boosts a player’s chances of landing an expanded wild, since the wilds only expand on a hotline which will result in a re-spin and a 250 coin win, on a 15p bet. Also, all three or just two of the hotlines can be activated for a bet, which will mean higher tendencies for an expanded wild and re-spins. However, the minimum bet per spin increases by 15p for every new hotline that is added; this will mean 30p bet for two hotline and a 45p bet for all three hotlines.
